How is this Grant program different from Boosted Locations?

  • This Grant program is offered by service providers, initially Helium Mobile, to aid builders in their efforts to deploy useful coverage. Builders must work with service providers to apply to and participate in the program based on specific criteria defined by the service provider, including the minimum number of Hotspots purchased and the proposed locations by the builder. The Grant is paid out by the service provider to builders who satisfy the program criteria.

  • Boosted Locations are specific areas designated by service providers to provide guidance on where useful coverage is needed. The rules around who earns the rewards and how much is proposed and voted on by the Helium community. The boosted rewards to Hotspots deployed to these locations is performed programmatically by the Helium Network.
